Hadley Passela is an editor, writer, content marketer, and cofounder of Hott + Hadley Writing Consultancy. With more than twenty years of experience in marketing and business development, she brings an expert level of knowledge to her love for consulting and creating story-focused content.
Currently living a dream she pursued while living in Boston, Massachusetts, Hadley traded in a commute on the Mass Pike for the peaks of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and laps on the slopes for lunch. While remaining progressive in her career and education, Hadley believes that stories set the intention for any creative project or business and, when well told, they can inspire significant change in the world and others.
Hadley began her career on the streets of Boston selling phone, cable, and internet for telecommunications disruptor RCN. Traversing industries, she achieved success as an IT consultant in a telecommunication, energy, and utility vertical for Darwin Partners. Following a dream of living out west, she transferred to Colorado following 9/11, continuing her career with one of the world’s largest staffing firms, Robert Half International.
With a significant record of achievement in business development, Hadley sought a more passion-driven career path geared toward her creative talents. She returned to college to obtain a BFA in writing with minors in copywriting, advertising, and creative writing at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
She found that the most important facet of her education was gaining insight and firsthand knowledge of today’s consumers. With the convergence of her multi-industry business acumen and the experience she attained through her degree, she emerged as a creative force.
With a shiny new degree on the cusp of COVID, Hadley excelled at journalism, writing about local artists and celebrities for magazines including South magazine, Paprika Southern, Savannah Magazine, and Steamboat Magazine. She then turned to a love for editing, and Hadley is now focused on helping people create and publish their content through books and course creation as cofounder of Hott + Hadley Writing Consultancy.
Born in Stuttgart, Germany, and a two-time ex-pat, Hadley has a passion for travel. When not traveling, she spends her free time skiing, snowboarding, playing tennis, dabbling in stand-up comedy, and dedicating her Sundays as an equine volunteer. Above all, she is impossibly devoted to her two dogs, Jack and Scarlett Chablis.
